We welcome you to Delirium, where things are not what they seem and magic is just the beginning of your adventure.
This is a fairly new site, being only about 2 and a half months old. Our setting takes place about 400 years into the past - x391 being the current year - and dragons freely roam Earthland. While humans and dragons are currently in peace with each other, there is darkness brewing and that fragile line of truce between them might just break soon enough.
Episode One: Bastion, The Ironclad Dragon is now open!
Enjoy your stay, and please...
Stay delirious.

"Always remember, it doesn't matter what you are, whether your a machine or a monster, as long as you don't give in, you can be whatever you want to be." - Rizare, Tana's Father
Nickname(s): Tana
Age: Presumed 24
Sex: Female
Birthday: Unknown
Sexuality: None
Affiliation: Light Mage
Rank: D
Guild: Melodic Sirens
Guild Tattoo: Large, on back, blue with white lining
Physical Characteristics: Tana is, by any definition, not wholly human. Her upper torso has retained the leanness of when it was human. Her legs are still strong, and her hair, the dark blue, one of the only special human characteristics about her. Her eyes, a green-grey colour, have changed from the human green to a greyer colour. Her creator had kept as much green in them as possible, whilst still making them useful to her as a machine. They can still technically class as a human eye colour, just a stranger one.
She is small, trying to look as human as physically possible, reaching only 5ft 5". Her weight is unknown to all, as one would have to measure each of the machine parts in turn before subtracting it from the total. The number of mechanical changes between Tana and a normal human are numerous, so her weight is very high, breaking scales more then once, because of the metal's weight. As such, Tana ignores any and all questions related to her weight.
As she was raised by a noble and rich family, Tana has a very upright and proper posture, which she hates to no great end. She wishes to forget every trace of her family, and so every time she notices her posture is that of a lady, she always tries to change by sitting down, or leaning on something, to make her look less like royalty and more like a "normal" young woman.
Attire/Clothing: Tana has very little need for clothing, as she is self heated to withstand cold weather. However, as she is to act as human as possible, she does wear some clothes. One item to be exact: her top-coat. The top part is a black and blue lined breast top. The coat is white, and drapes down to Tana's mid-calf, so as to cover what is respectable, while still allowing full movement on Tana's part. The coat's arms go all the way to the hand, but has such been trimmed to make sure that it doesn't interfere with her mechanical arms. Blue trimmings line the coat, as well as coming into the coat at various points. Lastly is Tana's bow in her hair. The white bow, given to her by her mother when she was younger and found later by Rizare, it is all that is left of Tana's former human physical attire.
Abnormalities: Tana's legs were greatly improved, becoming wheels instead of actual feet, made out of the same Aquasium which was incorporated into every body part that needed transferring to mechanical. The wheels have a mode on them which makes them stop, and balances come down to support Tana, meaning she can stop in she needs to. Otherwise, Tana is always on the move, never really being able to stop herself and sometimes being able to travel faster than some humans.
Personality: Tana's personality is strange, as it varies often. Usually, when around members of her guild or when she is who she once was, Tana is a very sociable, fun-loving, if a little arrogant, adult who can be immature when she needs to be. She doesn't like to consider herself arrogant, but in a way she is. She lives by the motto that, no matter who she, if she puts her mind to something, she can accomplish her goals, no matter the obstacles that get in her way. She follows those wise words that her father once said to her long ago, when all seemed lost.
However, Tana has a problem that comes with her mechanic systems, a problem no other human gets, or that don't get it as often or as badly as Tana. From time to time, sometimes completely random, Tana malfunctions, and then all manner of problems begin. Sometimes, she gets very violent, attacking anyone in sight, being a danger to anyone and everyone around her until it passes. Other times, she can revert back to her "factory settings", meaning that she becomes what people assume as a normal robot, no emotion, only following any and all orders that come from her master, that is, her father. However, if her father is not present, she just stands there, being able to see and recording all that is seen but unable to physically move. The personality malfunctions vary and no one, not even she, can see them coming. This is all due to the lack of proper technological advancements of the era, meaning she is not yet completely flawless.
Hobbies:
- One of Tana's former hobbies, one that was implanted into her mind when she became a cyborg, was her love of simply sitting on a bench by herself, and watching the world pass her by. She just loved to watch other people go about their daily lives, as she contemplated what to do with her own. She doesn't get to do it as often, as people don't go about their business as they normally would when a woman with mechanical legs and arms is sitting on the bench next to them, but Tana still enjoys it nonetheless.
- Another hobby of Tana's, one that her father put into her per her own request, is training. Most days she can be found training somewhere, perfecting her discipline or discovering new systems within herself. She just enjoys the sensation of being able to do whatever she wants, a feeling she gets when she completes her training sessions.
- Being free is the final hobby Tana possesses. She has been told that, if she puts her mind to it, she can do anything she wants, so she likes to test that theory. She wishes to be able to fly, be underwater, as well as other seemingly impossible human dreams. However, Tana is not completely human, so she believes that will come in handy soon.
Likes: Discovering new things about herself, watching people's reactions to her mechanical body parts, testing herself with normal human beings, and training with her guild mates are a few of the many things Tana likes. Most of them come from seeing what people think of her cyborg form, or by wanting to see if she can beat a normal human being, without any machines. As well as being with her guild mates, women who have accepted her no matter the fact that she isn't completely human.
Dislikes: Being told she is worthless is one of the things that annoys Tana. She knows it annoys most people, but hers is a deeper hatred of it. She is the only one of her type of person, the only cyborg currently in existence, so she sees being called nothing a pointless and petty remark. For that same reason, being told she can't do something and winning every time are more things that annoy her. She doesn't like to lose, but that doesn't mean she always wants to win, that would mean she had no one to test herself on, and she always wishes to get better. Another thing Tana dislikes is when herself, her guild mates, or her guild in general are insulted in any way shape or form, even if it is meant jokingly.
Finally, Tana's strongest hate, are those who act like life is meaningless. Those who throw away there own life, or even worse, the lives of others, are the bane of her existence. She automatically goes out for and tries to kill people like that, no matter how they are like otherwise, if they throw away lives even once, they die.
Inspiration:
- Tana's main inspiration for becoming a mage was the reason that she was reborn as a cyborg. Someone, using magic, was able to bring back a presumed dead woman back to life. Her father brought her back for a reason, to become something more than she could be before, free. So her main motivation was the prospect of being able to do whatever she wanted, as long as she tried her hardest.
- Another thing that keeps Tana going on is the want to become the strongest mage in existence. But Tana's is not the ordinary reason of just because she wants to be strong. Tana wishes to be the strongest so that she is recognized by everyone, respected by everyone, and to prove to herself that, even though she isn't human, she can still overcome any and all challenges.
Fears:
-Death: Tana's main fear is death, but not her own. Since she has technically already "died", she doesn't care about her own death, it no longer scares her. But the last thing she wants, as someone who would never age and never die of conventional means (sickness, old age etc), she fears being the only one left alive. She would gladly give up her life to save another's, as she has experienced it already.
-Fire: Not as strong as a fear, but Tana does feel uncomfortable around fire and is naturally hostile towards those that use it in their magic, or are in some way related to fire. Dragons do not count in this as Tana believes they are beautiful, and she loves them, although she has yet to actually see one.
-Slavery: Tana freed slaves when she was younger so she fears, and despises any and all forms of slavery, no matter how small. She is instantly hostile and usually violent towards those who show signs of having slaves, and always tries to liberate slaves whenever she can.
Augment Name: Metallic Components
Augment Description: Her arms, legs and lower torso/pelvis area were severely damaged so her creator had replaced them with mechanical counter-parts, taking what Tana wanted herself into consideration. Thus, her arms were made from the blue coloured, and really tough metal, Aquasium. It gives her hands much stronger attack power, as well as allowing her to move them in ways a human could not, being able to extend along with many other incredible things.
Augment Name: Robotic Eagle Eye's
Augment Description: Tana's eyes were upgraded from what they once were, as they were scorched and beyond repair before. As such, her new eyes let her see into greater distances. Her eyes can do much more, but Tana is oblivious for now, as to just what her eyes can do.

- Act I : A Girl Once More : The Life of Tana:
Accessing memory banks 000121000: Beginning of life cycle. Data found. Beginning download...
Aratana had been part of a rich family once, long ago. Her father owned many farms, run by many slaves. He only said he had a "big work force". Her life, her future, had been planned out for her from before she had even been born. She was born with a purpose: to be married off to the wealthiest suitor her parent's could find. She was always told how important she was and, for a time, she believed it. She also believed that poor people shouldn't have lived on the Earth-land to begin with. She was told they were a plague, and she believed every word, and began to think herself better than everyone. But everything changed, when she was eight years of age, and she visited her father's farms...
Her father had forbidden it of course, because he didn't want young Tana to know what he did for a living: working off the labor of other people until she was older and could understand it. However, fate had something else in mind.
"Lalalalalala" went Aratana as she skipped with her family around the mansion grounds. It was a happy day, the sun was warm in the sky and a nice gentle breeze was felt by all. But, in the distance, figures approached, important looking figures. They walked over to daddy and began to talk in whispers, which mummy said was naughty. But before I could tell the men, daddy spoke to me, saying I was to go and play for a while while daddy and mummy took care of some business regarding the workforce. Skipping away, Tana went to the forest since she was alone. Her parents had said never to go that way, but Tana felt she was old enough now to explore. So in she went, and it didn't take her long to get out to the other side, where she saw everything.
There were men, thousands of men, all working and looking tired. The kind sun had not been nice to them, obviously. Standing over the rows of men were other men, looking more authoritative and carrying fire whips. Tana walked closer to the men, and some of them noticed her, but continued on their work, and Tana noticed burn marks from the whips, and the pain all the men must have been in. However, one of the men stopped working and raised a hand in greeting to Aratana, which drew the attention of the overseers to him. One walked over to him, drew out his whip, and began to violently assault the man, and burn his skin. Tana knew what was right, and so ran over to try and stop the overseer from hurting the man. But the overseer just threw her to the side. The pain the man was in, it was too much for his body, he was dying. Tana screamed then, "Nooooooooooooo. STOOOOOOOOOP IIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT" which ended strangely. She had done something, because the man's fire whip had dissolved into nothingness. The man looked to her in shock, and freed himself from the clutches of the overseer. All the overseers stopped, as they had all lost their whips and the men started to turn on them. But the man who Aratana had saved had stood up, and all the slaves stopped then, waiting to see what he did. He said, in a loud but not shouting voice, "Let us not kill those men. This girl has already seen things that could traumatize her, we must not add to it with needless death. She has freed us, and so we will thank her in our own way and leave, without spilling a drop of blood. We are free". As those final words were said, Aratana's father appeared, as shocked as everyone else around him. The slaves ran away, and he grabbed Tana and dragged her back to the mansion.
"What the hell have you done, you stupid girl!? That was my entire workforce, we have nothing now!" He slapped Tana once more, giving her another red mark on her young face. "But those men were being treated horribly father, they did not deserve this. They deserve better than you." It was then Tana's father's rage stopped in an instant, and he said in a cold voice, "If that is how you feel, then you can join them. I hereby disinherit you and sever all ties you have to this family. You are no longer my daughter. Leave." Tana said nothing, but just walked away to her room, grabbed the important things she needed, and left.
Being on the road was one thing, but Tana now had to live on the road. She now had nothing, no family, no money, and no friends. All she did have what was she could gather in a suitcase and that strange power she had used to stop the whips back on the farms. And then, as if on cue, some of the overseers jumped out onto the road, both in front and behind her, surrounding her. One of them, the leader by how he dressed, walked forward and lifted Tana up by her hair, before speaking. "You little bitch, do you have any idea what you've done to us. We are all out of a job, because of your little power. Now you will pay."
The men, taking that to be a signal, all summoned different weapons of fire, except from the leader. He told the men to stop, and said that he was going to do it personally. The men all laughed and stopped what they were planning, letting their master do what he wished. He used his own magic, but it was not fire, it was lava. He said, "Since we were once your father's arms and legs, and you cut them off, we believe it's fitting for you to lose the same as he." The magma neared Tana's legs and melted the tips of them, then the foot, then the ankle and part of the shins before stopping. Tana screamed, and she kept screaming until her arms were melted, and she was thrown to the ground. The men walked away, laughing and applauding their master, and the last thing Tana saw before she died was a man running towards her, a sad look upon his face.
- Act II : What Am I!? : Alive Once More:
Tana's eyes shot open instantly, then closed just as quick due to the blinding light hanging above her head. Once they had adjusted though, she sat bolt upright, but felt uneasy. She took in all her surroundings, with strangely a more perceptive eye than normal. She saw tables, chairs, medical beds and equipment (which led her to believe she was in some form of medical area) and then she saw the man, his back turned away from her, working with mechanical pieces and making them, as far as Tana could see. Her legs and arms were covered but, as she went to remove the covers, the man said, without turning, "I wouldn't do that if I were you. You may not like what you find." Not caring about the man's cryptic words, Tana pulled back the covers over her arms and legs, and instantly froze: she had strange blue gloves on her hands and legs. They were strange, and strangely metallic and she wanted to take them off but they would not budge. The man saw this and quickly said, "Oh don't do that, they might not be secure as you think". Once Tana had stopped pulling at them, she stared at the man, who said, "I know, I have some explaining to do. Firstly though, introductions. I am Rizare Kurasame, a scientist and engineer, and I already know who you are Aratana, you are the one who freed the slaves, and from your own father no less. That was impressive, and I congratulate and thank you for that, as one was my brother."
"Now, the hard part. Those things on your arms and legs are not gloves or any form of clothing item: they are your hands and feet. You remember what happened to you before you "died" don't you? The overseer melting your arms and legs off? Of course you must, it's not something one forgets. Anyway, you died and I saw watched you die. But the brain survives after the body dies for a few minutes, and I used those minutes to keep the brain alive longer, so that I could bring you back here and repair your body. You are no longer completely human Tana, you are a cyborg, a human machine. Fitting then, that your name means "New Beginning" eh? Haha. So, do you have any questions?"
It was a lot to take in, Tana was now dead by all accounts, which meant she was free from her family. That much she was slightly glad about, as she had wanted to be free, but she had a multitude of questions for the man. However, when she went to speak, all that came out was one word "Why?". The reply was a raised eyebrow from Rizare before he spoke, "That's it? Why? Well, because I could. You were dying, I could save you, so I did. However, in this age it was a miracle I could revive you at all, but you are far from complete. You can see much better than a normal human being, your legs and arms are stronger than a normal human being, and your legs are now faster, as well as some other additions I will show you later. But first, get used to the idea now that you are not human, and try to get used to your new body. Oh, and another thing, since you are a machine, stay away from water. Electricity will be drawn to you so one day try to use that to your advantage. Finally, as I said you are incomplete, which means that from time to time you may experience hiccups in the system, and you'll malfunction and change. You may become evil, you may become suicidal, I do not know what will happen, but watch out for that would you? Well that's everything I've got to say. Now: let's test out this body of yours."
One day, while Aratana was outside and training her body with Rizare, her new father, he thought something up, a new training method. "Hey Tana, I wanna try something, to see just how strong that metal of your is. How about it? You up for a challenge?" A nod was his reply, which got Tana and Rizare facing each other on opposite sides of the field that they trained in. "Just do nothing, I'll aim at your torso's metallic stomach. You'll be fine. Don't move a muscle." But Rizare had no idea what he was about to do. "I'll just use my most basic spell" he said before summoning what looked like... a ball of fire. The fire then quickly took shape and became a whip. The whip was launched outwards towards Tana but she could not stay still, not against this. As before, she raised her hands in front of her, but now she felt the power inside her, and she knew what was coming. So instead of cowering behind her hands as she had before, she brushed the whip away like a fly, like it was nothing. She smiled and said to Rizare "Father, I don't care what your thinking right now but, if you know what is good for you, don't ever use that spell on me again, or I may just lose control. Also, that must have been the first time you saw that, yes I have magic and yes I have used it before and now I can call on it when I wish to. It's just my physical strength now that I need to work on, providing I can as I am now." Rizare answered by walking over to Tana, grasping her and hugging her tightly before whispering to her, "Forgive me my daughter, for I did not know the pain that spell brought you, and I am amazed with your powers. Thank you for showing them to me, no we can practice more things now that your true potential has been awakened."
- Act III : Farewell Father : Melodic Sirens:
She stayed with her father for 15 years, training her body and her magic all the time, and learning just the limits, or lack of, of what she could actually do. However, after much thought and consideration, Tana decided she wanted to explore the world, and experience everything she in her new life. It was then that Aratana Hajimari Kurasame, having adopted the surname of her father, said her farewells to her father and left with a small amount of jewels to start her off. The jewels were not the only things Tana received. Just before she left, her father brought her close and said, "My daughter, we have been through much and I understand why you are doing what you are doing. But know this, I will always be here if you need me. Go with my blessing, some jewels, and if you only remember one thing about me, let it be this: Always remember, it doesn't matter what you are, whether your a machine or a monster, as long as you don't give in, you can be whatever you want to be. Now go my child, and experience the world in all it's glory. The closest place from here is Waterfall City. There you will find a mages guild called Melodic Sirens. It's a place where you can improve your magic, makes friends and become stronger. I strongly advise you go there. It is a female only guild, and your female enough. You'll be fine there. Now enjoy yourself, and have fun."
With farewells said and nothing more to say or do, Tana made her way to Waterfall City, eager to find out more about this "Melodic Sirens" guild.
It was breathtaking, the city was covered in majestic waterfalls and, over to the side of the city was a large building, which was easily confirmed as the Melodic Sirens guild house by a few passing strangers. Tana had thought the city was beautiful, but it was nothing compared to the guild. Run by women indeed, it was perfection and beauty incarnate, and Tana was going to join. She walked into the guild, talked to some people, filled out some forms, and was branded with the Melodic Sirens guild mark...

Re: Aratana Kurasame
The whole thing looks great overall! I really like the idea, but there are just a few things that need to be fixed!
Physical Characteristics: 171/200 words. Please make sure to meet the word count~ If you're stuck try writing about her posture, how she walks and how she presents herself. Maybe her skin, or me tal, cold or hard to touch? Stuff like that!
Attire: 143/150. So close. Does she wear footgear? Or maybe the clothes have some significance to heryou could mention?
Abnormalities: most of these should fall under "Augments" instead. Your abnormality in this case would be you acctually have wheels for feet, however stronger attack power because of aquasium, as well as faster travelling should be listed as augments please!
You'll need to add 2 more fears please~ She was a human before so she must retain some of her fears from before? Does she fear never achieving her dreams, or maybe she's just uncomfortable around magma or fire? Get creative!
