Finding a Feather in a Rock Stack Welcome_zps40edad63Greetings traveler.
We welcome you to Delirium, where things are not what they seem and magic is just the beginning of your adventure.
This is a fairly new site, being only about 2 and a half months old. Our setting takes place about 400 years into the past - x391 being the current year - and dragons freely roam Earthland. While humans and dragons are currently in peace with each other, there is darkness brewing and that fragile line of truce between them might just break soon enough.
Episode One: Bastion, The Ironclad Dragon is now open!
Enjoy your stay, and please...
Stay delirious.

Aleia sipped her water to calm her nerves a little. This was not the most stressful thing she has done, at least that was not what it seemed. To find a stupid piece of feather was a simple enough task on its own. Why would she need the help of others anyway? Taking a deep breath in, she shuddered from a sudden breeze.

They were definitely in the mountain area now, no turning back either. Actually it wasn’t a matter of not turning back but the lack of choice for her to do so. She took a good look into the horizon, searching for something. Honestly she was surveying the land for any clues but of course ended up with nothing. There was a ticking in her head, as if a pressure for time was upon her. This was true and she had to force herself to swallow another sip of water.

This was grand! All she knew was that the feather was somewhere deeper in this very daunting mountain area with plenty of folklore and legends. Did she believe them? No she didn’t, at least all of it but every story had a truth in them. After her feat kicked up some dirt, she turned to look towards her partner. She had walked a bit of distance already in her troubled state but she was very much upbeat in her outer facade.

Darion stood quiet and still like a statue thinking over various things, his partner Aleia were drinking some water and she seemed very nervous for some reason. They had arrived to the mountain itself a few moments ago and it was getting annoying that Aleia walked around like a stray dog, Darion sighed wondering why the Master had made him team up with this girl, this disrespectful women. He looked towards her and saw her looking at the horizon and when she turned to look at Darion he quickly turned his head back, he made an "Ahem" and said in a higher voice than normal " Now then. We have to find this bloody feather as ordered by our Master. Come along now." and so he started walking up on the treacherous road that led up in the mountain.

The treacherous road is long, and rough. The upward hill of a walk will surely prove difficult after a period of searching. Nothing of particular interest seems to phase you during your search. There are rocks, dirt, crevices, and more rocks. How exactly does one expect to find an ancient Relic? That’s up for the two mages to figure out; You’ll have to discover it in your own efforts. The two mages follow the treacherous road forward, up the mountain. However as the horizon nears naught but more road and rocks seem to reveal itself. That is, until you you stumble upon it. After an anything but relaxing trek upwards you reach an almost mountainous junction. You now stand looking down in a crater-like hole, created by the meeting, or perhaps separating of mountain edges. Though this discovery seems to bring nothing but bad news as you are now faced with an important decision; What do you do? You could turn back now and search elsewhere on the mountain, or perhaps continue onwards through one of the various paths leading up, down, through and around the mountains? Then again... Maybe this crater hides something worth investigating?

For some reason Aleia wasn't quite assured by the man's sense of direction. Than again she barely knew the guy and was probably over thinking it. He was the best lead in finding this stupid feather and all she wanted was to get this mission up and over with. Her best bet was to just shut up and follow it seemed if she wanted to get out here with relatively good speed.

The road simply became more difficult to climb the farther they went into the mountain range. All she saw was rocks, gravel, dirt and rocks. Did she mention there was even more rocks ahead? Well at least the feather would appear better among the rocks but what happens if the feather was made out of rocks? Now that would be horrible.

When she saw crater a sudden elation rushed over her body. One side was bothered by the obstacle while the other seemed elated that it was not a rock. The crater can certainly hold a big rock but it was not one at least. In her excitement she decided to scale down the side. Her jump almost appeared as though she was diving into a pool. However her feet landed against the curved edge and she slid down. Being the tomboy she was, it was an exciting ride and completely unaware of the dangers of doing something this outrageous. She hoped that there was something interesting at the center...

Finding a Feather in a Rock Stack Empty Re: Finding a Feather in a Rock Stack

[[Apologies for the, incredibly delayed reply. Darion Steinheil has withdrawn from the mission, for roleplay’s sake, Aleia and Darion have separated to search the mountain individually and hopefully find the feather faster]]

The young tomboyish mage soars through the air, the relaxing, yet exhilarating wind blowing rhythmically through her hair as she comes to a stomp on the curved edge of the crater. You slide rapidly and dangerously down the side of the crater, rocks and dirt scraping up from underneath your feet as they grind down the rough edge of the crater. However as you glide across the curved earth you notice it growing increasingly difficult to stop. Your speed increases quickly as you glide, and you begin to notice the large pointy rocks and stalagmites from within the center of the crater. In a flurry you turn, skidding to avoid the rocks as you manoeuvre about slowly coming to a stop. You twist and turn about the center, narrowly avoiding painful crash into the hard rocks.

After safely reaching the center of the crater it’s much easier to get a good view of what’s inside; rocks. The rocks are of no particular interest, and scattered randomly about the crater they seem to hold no significance. But, what is such a large crater doing out here in the middle of nowhere? The whole thing is far too suspicious to give up. You walk about the crater, carefully analysing your surroundings, and you begin to notice a familiar pattern. A strange crack extends across the floor beneath you. If you allow your eyes to follow the crack you notice it leading into the other side of the crater, a large fissure, an opening. It’s hard to see unless you get closer, scaling the other side of the crater to some extent. However, it looks big enough to fit inside?
